Why Study with Me?
I have experience helping cellists succeed in conservatory entrance exams, winning top prizes in competitions, and learning how to be self-sufficient musicians, as well as human beings. My greatest joy as a teacher is helping someone to discover that they can accomplish something they didn't know was possible.
Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy revolves around helping students create a clear mental picture of the music they want to produce, enabling them to develop the technical skills to bring that vision to life. Having started my cello journey at the age of 16, I understand the challenges of learning from a conscious level. This experience provides me with a special insight into the physical aspects of playing the cello, allowing me to articulate and adapt concepts clearly and flexibly for each student.
Prospective Students
Languages of Instruction: I speak English, German, and French fluently.
Location: Lessons take place in Berlin at my home near Viktoria-Luise-Platz, offering a safe and positive environment for learning.
Complimentary Consultation: This initial meeting helps us ascertain your musical goals and needs, ensuring a good fit for effective collaboration.
Online Lessons: For those who live outside of Berlin or don’t have access to a compatible teaher, Zoom lessons can be a great option. Those interested in online lessons are welcome to contact me via Email.
Payment Structure: Payment is due via bank transfer within the first week of each month. Special financial assistance is always considered on a case-by-case basis.
Studio Recitals: Each year, there are 2 studio recitals. In addition to being excellent opportunities to gain performing experience, they foster a supportive and motivating community atmosphere within the studio which celebrates the progress and achievement of each student.
